Wat Putthai Sawan
Wat Putthai Sawan was built during the reign of the King U-Thong, in the fourteenth century. This complex contains a replica of a Buddha footprint and mural paintings, representative of the late Ayutthaya period.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet
Wat Phra Si Sanphet, used as royal monastery from 1350 to 1448, occupies a vast area within the walls of Ayuthhaya ancient royal palace. The 3 Chedis, which contain the relics of 3 Kings, are among the few buildings that have survived the passage of time.
Wat Phanan choeng
Prior to the foundation of the Ayutthaya kingdom, Wat Phanan choeng houses an immense image of a golden Buddha, 19 meters high, that dates from 1324. The prayer ceremonies are particularly beautiful, and it is well worth waiting to witness a ritual where the believers chant prayers.
