Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is one of the best preserved royal monasteries in Thailand.
Located at the (eastern) entrance of Ayutthaya. this temple was built in the 14th century, as a school temple in the forest, to celebrate the victory over the Burmese. It is famous for its 62 meters Chedi, the Buddha images that surround it and the lying Buddha. It’s one of those places you can not miss.
