Wat Trapang Thong
Wat Trapang Thong is a central point of Old Sukhothai. Built on an island set inside a water reservoir, around the 14th century, it is accessible through some wooden bridges ans scenery and atmosphere is amazing. In this ancient temple, still in use, stands out a great chedi and a footprint of Buddha.
Wat Saphan Hin
The Wat Saphan Hin temple, founded in the 13th century, is known to contain a colossal Buddha image. This figure, Called Phra Attharot by the locals, is about 13 meters high, standing in the Abhaya Mudra position, with his right hand raised with the palm facing forward, representing protection, peace and benevolence.
Wat Sorosak
Wat Sorasak temple, founded in the 15th century, is located in the central sector of Sukhothai historical park, still within the city walls. Framed in a wide area, where the green stands out and it is possible to glimpse other temples and ruins, the highlight resides in the sulptures of elephants that, side by side, make the base of the chedi.
