Wat Si Chum
Wat Si Chum, perhaps the second most popular temple in Sukhothai, is known for its 15m high Buddha image, called Phra Atchana ("the still Buddha"). The statue is located inside a huge Mandapa. This one, conceived in a very singular form, has a passage to the inside and the statue.
Ramkhamhaeng National Museum
After touring Sukhothai historical park by bike, it is at the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum that you will find a few more pieces of the puzzle, which is the history of Sukhothai. This museum, inaugurated in the sixties, is full of statues, stone inscriptions, deities carved in bronze and more.
Wat Trapang Ngoen
Wat Trapang Ngoen temple, founded in the 14th century, is in the central sector of Sukhothai historical park, near Wat Mahathat. What really stands out is a seated Buddha image facing a vast lake. As a backgound, a well preserved chedi and in front of it a series of columns that still presist , resisting the passage of time.
