Wat Pho (the temple of the lying Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, stands near the temple of the Emerald Buddha and is a mandatory crossing point in Bangkok.
This temple is one of the most visited in the city and is known for its 46 meter statue, of a lying Buddha, covered in gold leaves.
On foot it is 10 minutes from the Grand Palace and can be seen on the same day.
